Standards and corrections
This wire is run by one independent journalist. Research and drafting are assisted by AI tools; every published fact is verified against the cited outlet and approved by the editor before it goes out.
Sources
Every File ends with its sources, numbered in order of first appearance. Each number in the text links to the list; each entry links to the source itself — the official page, the story, or the video — with the outlet, the byline where there is one, and the date. Official guidance is cited to the government page, not to coverage of it. Where a publisher blocks automated checking, we verify the headline and link by other means and say so in our records.
Corrections
When we get a fact wrong, we say so: the error is corrected on every surface it ran, with a visible correction note, as soon as we confirm it. Spotted one? Email the desk — corrections are read first.
Sponsored content
Any paid placement is labeled as a paid placement, on every platform, every time. Sponsors never see coverage before it runs and never shape it. The Files are never sponsored.
Not advice
The Files and everything else here are general information for readers — not immigration, legal, tax, or financial advice. Rules change and individual situations differ; athletes and families should retain licensed professionals (an immigration lawyer or licensed consultant, and a cross-border accountant).
Team marks
Team names appear editorially, to report the news. No logos, no implied affiliation, no endorsement. The Landing Wire is independent and not affiliated with any team or league.
What we cover, and what we don’t
Transactions — trades, signings, call-ups, departures — and what the landing involves. Not conduct, not rumours printed as fact, not odds. Unconfirmed reports carry the REPORT: label and name their single source until the club or a second established outlet confirms.
